Baseball Recap: Kane Takes a Loss

Kane made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Brockway, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wolves fell just short of the Rovers by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Keller Chamberlain made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Eric Novosel was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Kane's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Brockway, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Kane will venture away from home to square off against DuBois Central Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Brockway, they will host Clarion Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rovers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
