Spring Mills barely beat Berkeley Springs the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals blew past the Indians 23-2 on Tuesday. The match marked the Cardinals' most dominant win of the season so far.

Braydon Ward looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Spring Mills got a massive performance out of JP Sweeney, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Anders, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Spring Mills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berkeley Springs only posted an OBP of .381.

The victory was the third in a row for Spring Mills, bringing their record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Berkeley Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coming up, Spring Mills will square off against Fairland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkeley Springs, they will head out to challenge Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
