Midway is 10-0 against Shoemaker since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Midway Panthers will host the Shoemaker Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Midway is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Killeen just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Kangaroos. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 206th, while the Kangaroos are ranked 774th).

Meanwhile, Shoemaker came up short against Copperas Cove on Tuesday and fell 60-47. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shoemaker now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Midway came out on top in a nail-biter against Shoemaker in their previous meeting back in November of 2020, sneaking past 49-46. Will Midway repeat their success, or does Shoemaker have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
