Freeport gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers 54-13. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 35-point advantage.

A big part of Freeport's win came down to the chemistry between Carter Nunes and his top target Julius Miles. Nunes threw for 300 yards and five TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes while Miles picked up 201 receiving yards and four scores. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Miles a new career-high. Dylan Louthain was another key player, rushing for 92 yards and one touchdown.

Freeport didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited North Bay Haven Academy to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Bryant Robbins and Oliver Boyko, who each logged one passes deflected. Freeport wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 73.9%.
