It was a good run, but Larkin unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 70-52 bruising from the Fenton Bison. The Royals lost against the Bison in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 75-29 score last time.

Leading Fenton to victory were Armany Sutton and Josiah Rodriguez. Sutton went 10 of 18 en route to 24 points in addition to seven assists and four steals, while Rodriguez went 8 for 16 on his way to 23 points. That's the most assists Sutton has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Tinajero, who posted 13 points.

Larkin's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Fenton, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Larkin has already played their next matchup (against Wheaton North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fenton has already played their next game, a 53-42 defeat against Conant on the 18th.
