Almond-Bancroft waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They didn't even let the Elcho Hornets on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Hornets are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Almond-Bancroft's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points on average over those games. As for Elcho, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.
