Volleyball Recap: Jordan-Matthews Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Emily Dekaney and Lilli Hicks + How To Watch

Jordan-Matthews lost against Chatham Central back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jets fell just short of the Bears by a score of 3-2. While the Jets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 25-21 in the first set.

Jordan-Matthews wouldn't go down easily and took Chatham Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 20-25, 15-6.

Despite the defeat, Jordan-Matthews had strong showings from Lilli Hicks, who had 18 digs and two aces, and Emily Dekaney, who had 11 kills, 11 digs, and three blocks.

Jordan-Matthews' loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Jordan-Matthews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Wheatmore on the 18th. As for Chatham Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Eastern Randolph on the 14th.
