Wapahani waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 53-47 W against the Yorktown Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-34 back in January.

Wapahani's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Andrews, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nate Luce, who posted 14 points.

Yorktown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nate Tyler, who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points, and Jabin Barnes, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 14 points. What's more, Tyler posted two rebounds, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Kates, who earned five points.

Wapahani's record now sits at 21-1. As for Yorktown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Wapahani will square off against Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Yorktown, they will take on Purdue Broad Ripple at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
