Softball Recap: Wayzata Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Wayzata, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Eden Prairie Eagles on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Ella Goodnature spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Lexi Drasher was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Sydney Anderson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

The win got Wayzata back to even at 2-2. As for Eden Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayzata will challenge Edina at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eden Prairie, they will host Waconia at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
