Basketball Recap: Monticello Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Monticello, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 70-58 win over the Juda Panthers on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-46 back in December of 2024.

Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Juda, their defeat was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will welcome Cassville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Monticello is facing Cassville at the right time seeing as Cassville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Juda, they will challenge Benton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Juda will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Benton will have lost three straight heading into Thursday's game.
