Football Recap: Dallas HSAA Takes a Loss

Dallas HSAA played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Dallas Christian Chargers 45-7. The Angels lost against the Chargers in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-0 score last time.

Even if they lost, Dallas HSAA's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Ryn Johnson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Jordan Davis was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making 18 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Logan Beck had a dynamite game For Dallas Christian., rushing for 166 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. With that strong performance, Beck is now averaging an impressive 116.5 rushing yards per game. Luke Syvrud was another key player, throwing for 204 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes.

This is the second loss in a row for Dallas HSAA and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Dallas Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallas HSAA will venture away from home to square off against Bishop Lynch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dallas Christian, they will head out to face off against Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Chargers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
