Basketball Recap: Catalina Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Catalina extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-2. They had to suffer through a 67-37 loss at the hands of the San Tan Foothills Sabercats. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 70-29 to the Sabercats when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for San Tan Foothills, the win got them back to even at 1-1. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since December 18, 2024 (when they won 70-29).

San Tan Foothills' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Snipes, who shot 82% from the field en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Snipes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Khrys Gray, who went 8-for-14 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds.

Catalina wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-16 defeat against Walden Grove on the 28th. As for San Tan Foothills, they have also already played their next matchup, a 57-48 loss against Florence on the 2nd.
