Fairfax HomeSchool had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 72-56 win over the Frederick W Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vance Nue Simmons went supernova, going 8-for-10 on his way to 22 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Isaac Amoako-Boateng was another key player, shooting 63% from the field en route to 13 points.

Fairfax HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-48 victory against Tournament Opponent on the 14th. As for Frederick W, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-57 loss against Fredericksburg V on the 14th.
