Basketball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for South Granville

South Granville extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from KJ Terry. The South Granville Vikings took down the Carrboro Jaguars 75-60 on Wednesday thanks in part to Terry, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

Another player making a difference was Mason Brown, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (five).

When it comes to explaining why Carrboro lost, don't look at Bakari Watkins. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. DB Hamlett was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

South Granville's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Carrboro, their record now sits at 3-9.

South Granville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 80-41 victory against Granville Central on the 9th. As for Carrboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Durham School of the Arts at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrboro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Durham School of the Arts likes a good challenge.
