Football Game Preview: Preble Shawnee Arrows vs. Arcadia Redskins

The Preble Shawnee Arrows will face off against the Arcadia Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Preble Shawnee, who comes in off a win.

Preble Shawnee's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past National Trail 42-0. The Arrows might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.

Brody Morton produced another solid performance rushing for 129 yards and four scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also throwing for 128 yards while completing 83.3% of his passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August. 97 of Morton's passing yards were hauled in by Caleb Blankenship.

Preble Shawnee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Morton and Blankenship.

Meanwhile, Arcadia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 33-8 to Arlington.

Preble Shawnee's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games. As for Arcadia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
