Volleyball Recap: Cascade Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

The Cascade Cadets didn't have quite enough to beat the Frankfort Hot Dogs on Thursday and fell 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Cascade sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 29-27, 17-25, 15-10.

Loss or not, Cascade got some senior leadership from Lacie Godby and Suzy Moore. Godby had 15 digs and four aces, while Moore had 14 digs and two aces. Godby is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Frankfort got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Myers out in front who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Myers has posted over her last eight contests. Emely Gil Guijosa was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

Cascade's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Frankfort, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will square off against North Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Frankfort, they will challenge Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
