Softball Recap: Foxcroft Academy Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Foxcroft Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Orono Riots by a score of 7-2. This was payback for the Ponies, who suffered a 14-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Grace Greene was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Aspen Perry was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Foxcroft Academy pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Orono, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Foxcroft Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Washington Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Orono will square off against rival Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
