With a playoff win on the line, Bad Axe rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Laker Lakers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Hatchets: when they faced off against the Lakers on Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Bad Axe was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 24-26, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10.

Bad Axe's victory bumped their record up to 27-15-1. As for Laker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Bad Axe nor Laker have any future games scheduled.
