Adding to the longest winning streak in Mountain this week, Clearfield beat Philipsburg-Osceola 56-7. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Bald Eagle Area was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. The Bald Eagles beat Bellefonte 57-12 earlier in the week.
Christian Lezzer was a passing and rushing force as Clearfield bested the Mountaineers.
Lezzer was a beast in the backfield as Tim Janocko's team defeated Philipsburg-Osceola.
Austin Cunningham threw for 130 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Cunningham put up the best numbers through the air as Central topped Huntingdon. Cunningham's favorite target this week was Bradi Moore, who caught 2 passes for 40 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Cameron Tobias of Penns Valley Area is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,512. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Tyler Pavalko. The Central Mountain star has 29 catches for 548 yards.
Tyler Stratton of the the Bison is just 46 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 114 carries Stratton has accumulated 954 yard this year.
Jeff Vroman's team fell to Clearfield 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Curtis Matsko threw for 74 yards and ran for 42 yards in the defeat.
