Baseball Game Preview: Cocoa Tigers vs. Brevard HEAT Firehawks

Cocoa is on a 14-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Brevard HEAT a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Cocoa Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Brevard HEAT Firehawks at 6:00 p.m. Cocoa has given up an average of 22.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Cocoa came up short against Space Coast on Thursday, falling 23-1.

Cocoa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Travis Taylor, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Brevard HEAT didn't have quite enough to beat Calvary Chapel Academy on Tuesday and fell 6-4.

Brevard HEAT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Cocoa, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Cocoa suffered a grim 34-3 defeat to Brevard HEAT in their previous matchup back in February. Can Cocoa avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
