Basketball Recap: Pahrump Valley Trojans vs. Boulder City Eagles
If Pahrump Valley was feeling good fresh off their 48-11 takedown of American Heritage Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pahrump Valley Trojans fell 47-37 to the Boulder City Eagles on Wednesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-32 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Pahrump Valley still got an impressive performance from Ryleigh Denton, who posted 17 points along with eight boards and four steals. Denton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Riley Saldana was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.
Boulder City found their leader in sophomore Makenzie Martorano, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 21 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As for Boulder City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
