Recap: Starr's Mill Panthers vs. Riverdale Raiders
On Friday, The Starr's Mill Panthers got themselves on the board against the Riverdale Raiders, but the Riverdale Raiders never followed suit. They breezed by the Raiders at home to the tune of 48-0. The result was nothing new for Starr's Mill, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Starr's Mill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andersen Cardoza, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Buck made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Starr's Mill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Riverdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Starr's Mill will head out on the road to face off against North Clayton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Clayton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Starr's Mill is ranked 96th). As for Riverdale, they will be playing at home against Whitewater at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Whitewater has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 123 points over their last three matchups.
