Basketball Recap: Winter Haven Christian Takes a Loss

Winter Haven Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors, falling 80-38. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raptors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-51 last Thursday.

Manny Almonte continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Real Life Christian Academy, dropping a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Almonte continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chris LaSalle, who went 8-for-16 en route to 16 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Winter Haven Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Real Life Christian Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Winter Haven Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 77-36 loss against Florida College Academy on the 6th. Real Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
