Football Recap: Ontario Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Ontario unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 25-13 to the Rialto Knights on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Ontario still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Hubbard, who picked up 108 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 58 yards.

Even if they lost, Ontario's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Joshua Dorris and Santos Beserra, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Rialto's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Wilson led the charge by rushing for 70 yards and two TDs. That's the most rushing yards Wilson has posted since back in September of 2024.

Looking ahead, Ontario will face off against San Gorgonio at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rialto, they will take on Temecula Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
