Marion-Franklin came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Briggs, but Romans Ward wouldn't allow it. The Briggs Bruins snuck past the Marion-Franklin Red Devils with a 58-52 win on Friday thanks in part to Ward, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Briggs' victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Marion-Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Briggs has already played their next game, a 60-29 defeat against South on the 4th. As for Marion-Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 81-55 loss against Walnut Ridge on the 4th.
