Football Game Preview: Pittsford Panthers vs. McQuaid Jesuit Knights

Pittsford is 1-9 against McQuaid Jesuit since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will head out to take on the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Pittsford fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Penfield on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 27-21 to the Patriots.

Meanwhile, McQuaid Jesuit ended up a good deal behind University Prep on Friday and lost 28-14. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Griffins are ranked 37th).

Pittsford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for McQuaid Jesuit, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Pittsford took a serious blow against McQuaid Jesuit in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 35-7. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 28-0.
