Football Recap: Moanalua Skates Past Pearl City with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Punahou, Moanalua was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Pearl City Chargers, posting a 55-7 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Menehune considering their six-point performance the contest before.

Moanalua's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.5 points over those games. As for Pearl City, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Moanalua and Pearl City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Menehune will take on rival Nanakuli at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pearl City is set to square off against their familiar foe McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
