Baseball Recap: Atlantic Shores Christian Comes Up Short

Atlantic Shores Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Norfolk Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 9-8. The Seahawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Atlantic Shores Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9-1. As for Norfolk Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic Shores Christian will welcome Broadwater Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Norfolk Academy, they will take on Hampton Roads Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Navigators' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
