Baseball Recap: Meigs County Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Meigs County was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the McMinn Central Chargers. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Chargers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meigs County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Goines, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meigs County's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for McMinn Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-11.

Meigs County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-5 loss against Sweetwater on the 30th. As for McMinn Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against Sequatchie County on the 9th.
