Soccer Game Preview: Westerville South vs. Westerville North

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. The Westerville South Wildcats will square off against the Westerville North Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Westerville South was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They never let Mt. Vernon get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Westerville South's winning goal came courtesy of Paul Turay.

Meanwhile, Westerville North and Bexley finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Westerville South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those seven matches. Westerville North's draw gives them a new season record of 13-1-3.
