Basketball Recap: Pine River-Backus Takes a Loss

Pine River-Backus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 80-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Pine River-Backus' loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Wadena-Deer Creek, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-16.

As of now, neither Pine River-Backus nor Wadena-Deer Creek have any future games scheduled.
