American Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Mountain Ridge Sentinels, falling 66-43. If the Cavemen were looking for revenge after losing 64-40 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mountain Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kya Newton led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Newton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Maynard, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 14 points and six rebounds.
