Basketball Recap: Cherry Creek Takes Down Rangeview in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherry Creek walked away with it. They blew past the Rangeview Raiders 50-25 on Saturday. With the Bruins ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Despite the loss, Rangeview saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Devyn Davenport posted 11 points and six rebounds. Davenport is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Maddie Kilmer was another key player, putting up two points and seven boards.

Cherry Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Rangeview now has a losing record of 12-13.

Cherry Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-38 win against Columbine on the 5th. Rangeview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
