Basketball Game Preview: Bay Tigers vs. Pass Christian Pirates

The Bay Tigers will square off against the Pass Christian Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bay's defense has only allowed 26.6 points per game this season, so Pass Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Bay fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Moss Point on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 31-28. Bay's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pass Christian). They took down Poplarville 54-36 on Monday.

Bay's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for Pass Christian, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.

Bay took their win against Pass Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 45-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
