DuSable piles up the points against Gage Park

Recap: DuSable Panthers vs. Gage Park Fighting Owls

The DuSable Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Gage Park on the road to the tune of 79-46. DuSable has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

DuSable found their leader in underclassman Jesse Suggs, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Suggs scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ave'Veyon Watkins, who scored 13 points.

DuSable's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Gage Park, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

DuSable will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Kelly at 4:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Kelly is ranked 545th, while DuSable is ranked 533rd). As for Gage Park, they will head out on the road to take on Tilden at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tilden focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Thursday.
