Softball Game Preview: Southeast Halifax Trojans vs. Tarboro Vikings

The Southeast Halifax Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Tarboro Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Southeast Halifax will be strutting in after a victory while Tarboro will be coming in after a loss.

Last Wednesday, it was close, but Southeast Halifax sidestepped Wilson Prep for a 10-9 win.

Meanwhile, Tarboro lost 36-26 to Bertie on Friday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Southeast Halifax's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Tarboro, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Southeast Halifax took their win against Tarboro in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 24-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southeast Halifax since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
