Baseball Game Preview: Mobile Christian Leopards vs. Faith Academy Rams

For the second straight game, Mobile Christian will face off against Faith Academy. Mobile Christian will challenge Faith Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Mobile Christian came up short against Faith Academy and fell 9-5. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

For Faith Academy's part, Wyatt Lloyd looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lloyd has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Braydon Wright, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Riley Wilemon, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Faith Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.

The win (which was Faith Academy's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Mobile Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
