Softball Recap: St. Michaels Comes Up Short

If St. Michaels was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Kent County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. St. Michaels came up short against the Delmarva Christian Royals on Friday, falling 14-7.

Lola Browning was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Mautz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

St. Michaels' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Delmarva Christian, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, St. Michaels will take on Cambridge-South Dorchester at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Delmarva Christian, they will be playing at home against Cape Henlopen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
