Volleyball Recap: Holy Name's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Holy Name walked away with it. They skirted past the Edgewood Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Green Wave have posted since September 2nd.

Holy Name had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-5.

Hayden Wells was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 26 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

The win was the third in a row for Holy Name, bringing their record up to 10-13. As for Edgewood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 20-5 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Holy Name and Perry will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
