Norwayne waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They strolled past the Smithville Smithies with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Smithies, too.

Norwayne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braden West led the charge by going 5 for 12 en route to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Metsker, who posted ten points and six assists.

Norwayne's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.2 points per game. As for Smithville, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Norwayne has already played their next game, a 54-51 defeat against Perry on the 18th. As for Smithville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-58 victory against Minerva on the 18th.
