Baseball Recap: St. Cloud Finds Home Field Redemption Against Tohopekaliga

There's no place like home for St. Cloud, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Tohopekaliga Tigers with a sharp 11-0 victory on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Sean Gallagher looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he also posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Aiden Pegauro was incredible, going a perfect3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Nathan Bianco, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

St. Cloud was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .522. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

St. Cloud's record now sits at 3-1. As for Tohopekaliga, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, St. Cloud will venture away from home to take on Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tohopekaliga, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
