The St. Martinville Tigers will head out to challenge the Bossier Bearkats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Martinville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

St. Martinville is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 3, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 71-36 loss at the hands of Cecilia. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their defeat, St. Martinville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tyren Syon, who posted eight points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Raytyrion Narcisse, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Bossier had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 56-55 W against the Cavaliers. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bearkats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Cavaliers are ranked tenth).

Bossier's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-16. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for St. Martinville, their loss dropped their record down to 15-18.
