Recap: Puxico Indians vs. East Prairie Eagles

Puxico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 16-1 defeat at the hands of the East Prairie Eagles. Puxico was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Prairie apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

For East Prairie's part, Riley Wilson was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned run off one hit (she also only allowed one walk). Wilson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alison Miller, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Harper Marshall, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Puxico's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Puxico will head out on the road to square off against Leopold at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Prairie, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-7 victory vs. Meadow Heights on the 21st.
