Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for East Ascension

There's no place like home for East Ascension, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Denham Springs Yellowjackets 11-1 on Thursday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Cayden Tullier, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Lanoux, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

East Ascension always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denham Springs only posted an OBP of .286.

East Ascension's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Denham Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

East Ascension will challenge Live Oak at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Denham Springs, they will face off against John Curtis Christian at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
