Starmount and Ashe County are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2017, but not for long. The Rams will take on the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Starmount took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wilkes Central as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Ashe County waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blackhawks.

While Ashe County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-10, 25-21.

Ashe County's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Starmount, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Starmount might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Ashe County in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
