The Southern Rams entered their tilt with the Northern Huskies with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Southern put the hurt on Northern with a sharp 60-34 win on Friday. Given Southern's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Northern is ranked 211th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Noah Wilt was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Keller, who scored ten points along with three steals.

Southern is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Northern, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern will take on Fort Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northern, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Hardy at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th. East Hardy is coming into the game with six straight victories on the road, so Northern is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
