Basketball Recap: Lucas Cubs vs. Loudonville Redbirds

In what's become a running theme this season, the Lucas Cubs gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Loudonville, posting a 82-54 win on the road. The victory was nothing new for Lucas as they're now sitting on three straight.

Logan Toms was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Aidan Culler was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with six rebounds.

Lucas' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Loudonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Lucas won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Comets at 6:15 p.m. on February 3rd. Central Christian is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Loudonville, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Crestline and three for the Redbirds.
