Basketball Recap: School of the Ozarks Falls Despite Big Games from Oliver Mutrux and Josiah Martin

School of the Ozarks lost against Green Forest back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The School of the Ozarks Patriots lost to the Green Forest Tigers at home by a 53-38 margin. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

School of the Ozarks' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Josiah Martin, who posted 13 points, and Oliver Mutrux, who earned eight points. Mutrux has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

School of the Ozarks' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Green Forest, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. School of the Ozarks will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fordland at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Green Forest, they are taking a road trip to face off against Gentry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Forest is facing Gentry at the right time seeing as Gentry is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
