After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cattaraugus-Little Valley, Pine Valley Central was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Randolph Cardinals 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Pine Valley Central's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Randolph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Pine Valley Central will welcome Forestville Central at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Randolph, they will head out to challenge Brocton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
