Basketball Game Preview: Freeman Flyers vs. Ethan Rustlers

Freeman hasn't had much luck against Ethan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Freeman Flyers will head out to challenge the Ethan Rustlers at 6:15 p.m. Freeman knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Ethan likes a good challenge.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Freeman beat Philip 67-63.

It was another big night for Cadence Hofer, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and eight boards. The game was her fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Peters, who posted 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, Ethan waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Trojans with points to spare, taking the game 47-31.

Ethan's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Freeman, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Freeman didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ethan when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Freeman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
